Happy Holidays!

We wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! There is much to be thankful for in the Berrada family as 2009 comes to an end. Amine and I did not send out holiday cards this year because in a matter of weeks we will be sending out a birth announcement card! :) Please know that we are thinking of all of you and wishing you the best in 2010. Happy Holidays to all!

Here are a couple photos of us at Epcot. We watched the candlelight processional, which Whoopi Goldberg was narrating. It was truly amazing. We also got to see Christmas lights at their finest around Disney.

Baby Shower

We had a great weekend. My parents were in town for a long weekend. We got to celebrate Christmas early this year because I will certainly not be flying up to Michigan! :) We had two baby showers this week. One at work and one hosted by my good friend Amy. Amy is also the one who will deliver our little bundle of joy! It was great to see so many friends and our little one got spoiled!! My very talented mother made adorable cupcakes with little baby faces on them. She is so talented!! Special thanks to Amy, Angie, Lisa, Kathy and Carla for throwing me such a great shower! We are in the home stretch!!! Yeah!!!

Lots To Be Thankful For!

On November 19, Amine and I celebrated our three year anniversary!! How time flies! Every year keeps getting better! We went away to Miami to celebrate our anniversary and get in a little relaxation before the holidays/arrival of our little one. We feel so blessed to hit the 8 month mark! Everything is going well and we are very excited to meet Baby Berrada!

Proud to be an American...:)

Today Amine was sworn in as one of the newest American Citizens!! Now he is Moroccan/American at heart :) It was such a moving experience. There were 99 people sworn in from 44 countries. Due to my pregnant hormones, I was quite emotional to say the least! I am so proud of him and how hard he has worked to get to this point. What a great year for the Berrada Family!!

What a weekend!

This was such a whirlwind of a weekend!! Wonderful, but crazy! It started Thursday when I flew into Milwaukee, WI to attend my dear friend Heather's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and I felt honored to be part of this special day. Now we can say the baby was in its first wedding! The wedding was Saturday, then Sunday morning I got up at 4:30am to take the ferry over to Michigan. That afternoon my family threw me a baby shower. Special thanks to my mom, sister, Aunt Penny, Aunt Stacie and my cousin Lisa for throwing me such a special event. There were 40 special family and friends there. Needless to say the baby did quite well!! It was wonderful to see so many friends and family this weekend. This will be the baby's last flight for a while! I must say, I did learn that the baby sure liked dancing at Heather's reception!!! :)

Weekend Away...:)

I have been tired and a little overwhelmed lately with school. My sweet husband took me on a weekend away. Amine and I got to enjoy a wonderful weekend in Palm Beach!! We went to the Ritz Carlton right on the beach. Both of us highly recommend this resort. It was amazing! Everyone treats you so nice, the food is great and you can't beat this kind of relaxation! Here are some of our first family pictures. :) Thanks to the webcam. Amine was on his way out the door (hence the sunglasses). Having out of town parents, the webcam is nice when talking to them. I will send more pictures soon. Things have been very busy on our end. I started back to school and am loving 4th grade! The older kids are so much fun to work with. I am taking a class and tutoring also. This has made the fifth month of our pregnancy fly! I will be six months next week. It is hard to believe that in three months (give or take) we will see our little one. Amine and I are so ready to meet Baby Berrada.

Baby Berrada Update

Today Amine and I went to our 20 week ultrasound. It was quite amazing. The baby was VERY active and the tech. had a hard time capturing pictures because it kept moving! (I think we are in for it...;) Here are some shots to share. Enjoy!

Amine wants to be surprised and find out what the baby is on the day it's born. Now being the planner I am, I had to find out. I will have to keep up a "poker" face over the next few months. It is so exciting all the same. We can't wait and hope the second half goes fast!! Our new due date is January 17.

Welcome!

Many of our family and friends are out of state and country. We decided to start this blog to stay better connected with everyone. Also, to let you know some news...:)

As many of you know, and some we have not had the chance to tell, Amine and I are expecting our first child. Our little one is due January 21, 2010. We are four months now and very excited. Stay tuned as we find out more details!
